What is Restored Order?
Restored order refers to the practice of celebrating the Sacraments of Initiation in the following order:
Baptism –> Confirmation –> Eucharist
It restores the Holy Eucharist to the climax of initiation. We are returning to the original order of the Sacraments of Initiation in our Diocese.
What is Changing for 2026-2027?
- Family Faith Formation Kindergarten through 12th grade (our Family Adventure Day Program)
- Future model: Children will receive Confirmation and First Eucharist together in the 3rd grade starting preparation Spring 2027.
Transitional Phase for 2025-2026 & 2026-2027
Focus: Confirm children currently in 3rd–12th grade
Goal: Close the gap and prepare for new model
This 2026-2027 School Year by Grade
2nd Grade:
- Must be baptized
- Must attend weekly Sunday Mass
- Register with parish
- Participate in Family Adventure Days (FAD) our Family Faith Formation
- Spring 2027: First Reconciliation
- TBA 2028: First Holy Communion and Confirmation
3rd-5th Grade:
- Attend weekly Sunday Mass
- Register with parish
- Participate in Family Adventure Days (FAD) our Family Faith Formation
- Preparation for Confirmation start date TBD
6th-12th Grade:
- Attend weekly Sunday Mass
- Register with parish
- Participate in Family Adventure Days (FAD) our Family Faith Formation
- Preparation for Confirmation start date TBD
